1. Information We Collect

By default, all personal content is stored locally on your device only. This includes:

• Dream journal entries, lucid dream and astral projection logs
• Insights and personal reflections
• Meditation session notes
• Reality check logs and practice data
• Reminder preferences (e.g. Journal Reminder time, stored on-device)

If you choose to enable Cloud Backup (PRO feature), your content is securely synced to Firebase, a cloud service operated by Google. In this case, your email address or Apple ID is collected solely to authenticate your account.

Technical data (device type, OS version, crash logs) is collected only in anonymous, aggregated form through Apple's standard App Store and TestFlight diagnostics. We do not collect name, phone number, location, or personal identifiers beyond what is needed for authentication when Cloud Backup is enabled.

2. Notifications & Reminders

If you enable reminders (Journal Reminder, Reality Check, Meditation), the App schedules local notifications on your device. Your chosen times are stored locally in your device preferences only. No notification data leaves your device.

3. Biometric Protection (PRO)

If you enable Biometric Protection, your device's Face ID or Touch ID is used to restrict access to the App. No biometric data is accessed or stored by RealAwake — authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system.

4. Cloud Backup (PRO — Optional)

Cloud Backup is an optional PRO feature. It is disabled by default and requires your explicit consent to activate.

When enabled:

• Your journal entries, insights, dream vocabulary terms, and reality check logs are encrypted and synced to Firebase Firestore, a cloud database service provided by Google LLC.
• Firebase servers are located in northamerica-northeast1 (Montréal, Canada).
• Your data is protected by Firebase security rules — only you can access your own data.
• Authentication is handled via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. RealAwake does not store your password.
• Firebase may collect anonymous usage metrics as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

You may disable Cloud Backup or delete your cloud data at any time via Settings → Cloud Backup.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

RealAwake offers an optional PRO subscription (monthly or annual). All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. RealAwake never receives or stores your payment card details.

To manage subscription status and unlock PRO features, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user identifier and your purchase events (such as start, renewal, or cancellation). It does not receive your journal entries, reflections, or any other personal content. RevenueCat's handling of this data is described in its Privacy Policy.

6. Consent

By using the App, you consent to local storage of your content and anonymous technical data. Cloud Backup requires separate explicit consent at the time of activation. You may withdraw consent for any optional feature at any time in Settings.

7. Your Rights (PIPEDA and Law 25)

• Access, correct, or delete your data at any time via Settings.
• Withdraw consent for optional features at any time.
• Request data portability or full deletion, including cloud data.

8. Data Security

Local data resides on your device, protected by your device's built-in security. Cloud data (when backup is enabled) is protected by Firebase security rules and Google's infrastructure. We do not operate our own servers that store personal content.

9. Changes

Material changes will be notified in the App. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
